... 12 stitches needed to close lip... wait... no... more information is now available... ok... he wasn't working on the Korean crisis, or the unemployment problem, or the Afghanistan war, or the Israeli-Palestinian problem...
He was doing something else:
The White House says President Barack Obama has received 12 stitches in his lip after being hit during a pick up basketball game.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs says the president was inadvertently struck by someone's elbow Friday.
The president received the stitches in the doctor's office on the ground floor of the White House. Obama had traveled to Fort McNair with a group of family and friends for an early morning game of basketball.
Hopefully he'll be back on that basketball court again soon. Doing what... he was... elected... to do.

I don't care what Bush did or did not do when he was President. He didn't golf as much as Barry. He didn't spend $10 Million on White House parties his first year in office like Barry. And he didn't think every question had to be about how wonderful "The Won" was. The point is that Bush is no longer president and Barry is.
If you want to defend him by comparing him to the man you have been whining about being the worst president ever then you really aren't saying much about obama are you? Folks, I am opposed to President Obama's policies, too, and I don't want to see him re-elected. Yet, I consider the above "busted lip" story to be a non-story. So, the man was playing basketball with friends and relatives during a holiday weekend. The problem with him doing that is what?
In case you have never noticed, the day after Thanksgiving is a vacation day for many people, including those who work in D.C.
In order for him to solve problems (assuming that he has the ability to) the President needs to make contact with people who work throughout the Executive Branch, and if those people are not working the day after Thanksgiving, then it is unlikely that the President could get much work done on that day.
Sure, things are heating up in North Korea, but at the moment all is quiet there, and the U.S. military is already on top of the situation. Should an immediate crisis occur, the President would be informed right away.
If President George W. Bush were still in the Oval Office, then he, too, would be taking the day off on the day after Thanksgiving. So, it makes no sense to complain about President Obama not working the day after Thanksgiving.
Again, I am the political opposite of President Obama, and I want him out of the Oval Office. Yet, I see in Rick's post a double-standard being used, which unbecoming of Wizbang standards.

I think the point is that he takes an inordinate number of days off. It's one thing if it had the appearance that he was actually addressing the country's problems but it doesn't.
He spent millions throwing himself parties to declare how great he was. He jetted off to Europe to collect his meaningless Nobel and then to pitch for the Olympics with the argument: "Give the Olympics to Chicago because I'm cool".
He wasted months before making a decision on Afghanistan. He Promised at the end of 2009 that 2010 would be focused on, "Jobs. Jobs. Jobs." and then he proceeded to focus on obmacare to the near exclusion of everything else. He promised that he would focus on jobs after the election and now we are getting taxes and amnesty.
Nobody cares if he takes a reasonable number of days off. It just seems that he doesn't work that much when he is in the white house. He certainly doesn't focus on the issues the public is concerned about. But then I suppose that is because the only thing the Narcissus in chief can really focus on is himself.

Word has it that he held so still during the
suturing that the doctor gave him an arugula-
flavored lollipop....which 'chelle made him put away for "after dinner".

We know you tried to have us look right while you dodged left but it didnt work.
a. Garandfan stated
" If you take the amount of time in office, and number of days already taken off......Barry's going to set a new record. Just as he's already done in number of golfing days taken.
"
b. Your link does nothing to refute that. It mainly talks about the first year in office and does not extrapolate over a period of 8 years.
SO in short, as usual, the liberal tries to play fast and loose with the facts and gets caught.
Another piece of news equally as unusual as the above statement: the sun rose and set today.

Nice vacation, if you can get it! Bush spent about one third of his time on 'vacation', if you include Camp David, 487 days at Camp David, and 77 visits to his ranch totally 490 days. Obama so far has spent about one sixth of his time, if you include Camp David.

Those days are "all or part days" . So if he touched down on Friday night and left Sat morning you are counting that as 2 days.
Also you had these at least these visits (and probably more) to camp david which kinda indicate it was more politics and not vacation.
