Someone put together a list of what they consider "50 Things Every Guy Should Know How To Do." And, being a guy, I had to go and see how I stacked up.
The first thing I noted is that apparently drinking has a lot to do with being a man -- seven of the fifty deal with alcohol. As a lifelong teetotaler, I started with seven strikes against me.
Me? I scored 24.
This was an eye-opener. I obviously need to work on a few things.
First up, I need a paddle, a dog, and a chainsaw...

And for the 6 things I've never done, it's not necessarily that I don't know how to do them, just that I've never had to or wanted to do them: change diaper, rally after a big drunk, upgrade hotel, perform CPR, use my dog as a wingman, or pick up a woman with a one-liner.
But only about half the things on that list are really manly things. Then again, they didn't say it was 50 things every MAN should know--they said it was 50 things every "guy" should know. There is a difference.

Not a bad list.
I've never used one liners or needed a dog to pick up girls.
Then again, I'm 48 and have been married to the same woman for 25 years (first and only).

In the 40's for me. Knowing how to do something and doing them are two different deals. I have little interest in upgrading a hotel room. I spend little time in it.
If you don't roll or crash a off-road vehicle of any kind than you not really riding off-road but are just putting around. The best riders are the one that can do the most with a vehicle. Who crashes the least is a woman standard. I think I know what the writer was saying but he didn't say it well.
Shine your shoe fits for me but not for my outdoorsman cousin.
