... and He has a sense of humor:
As negotiators from nearly 200 countries met in Cancun to strategize ways to keep the planet from getting hotter, the temperature in the seaside Mexican city plunged to a 100-year record low of 54° F. Climate-change skeptics are gleefully calling Cancun's weather the latest example of the "Gore Effect" -- a plunge in temperature they say occurs wherever former Vice President Al Gore, now a Nobel Prize-winning environmental activist, makes a speech about the climate. Although Gore is not scheduled to speak in Cancun, "it could be that the Gore Effect has announced his secret arrival," jokes former NASA scientist Roy W. Spencer.
The reaction: ClimateGate was "bad enough," says Duncan Davidson in Wall Street Pit, but Cancun's weather is particularly "inconvenient" for global-warming alarmists. It's a reminder that global temperatures have "flatlined" despite rising carbon dioxide levels, "which is decidedly chilling against the concept of hampering economic growth to limit Co2 emissions."
Apparently the ancient jaguar goddess Ixchel is deaf... or God's pretty serious about that first commandment.
Heh.

They should ban water - it's nasty stuff. For instance: It's the primary constiuent of acid rain. Getting just a little in your lungs will kill you. It causes rust, erosion, landslides, floods...
My Lord, that stuff needs to be gotten rid of now. Say, let's have a conference on that. By a beach on the ocean.

It's better still.
After the 100-year 54 degree low for December, it dropped more, to an all-time recorded low of 50.
Meanwhile, pretty much everyone who isn't directly in the major plenary sessions has either left town or gone somewhere more sociable.
The movers and shakers admitted days ago that nothing was going to be accomplished here anyway, after the Japanese announced they were not going to continue with the Kyoto agreement restrictions, so Kyoto II was DOA. There was a lot of noise and hot air about other things, but nothing binding will happen here.

I can see the "back in the day" stories we will tell our grandchildren
Back in the day the national debt each year was calculated in billions instead of trillions.
Back in the day 5% unemployment was considered a jobless recovery.
Back in the day you had to be an American citizen to vote.
Back in the day the govt didnt decide who got medical care and who didnt.
Back in the day the govt didnt decide what you could eat and how much you could weigh.
Back in the day the govt tried to stop the earth from warming (as we shiver in May).
Back in the day the US had the largest economy on Earth.
Back in the day you could actually say God in public.

How can yuo say they accomplished nothing?
They signed the petitions to reduce US GDP by 6%. They signed the petition to ban dihydrogen monoxide (H2O).
These chuckleheads accomplished every bit as much as they were capable of.
