Condi Rice takes on Katie Couric...

... and stands her ground against the oft-repeated leftist claim (so aptly put forth by leftist mouthpiece Ms. Couric) that the Bush administration used cherry picked intelligence as the basis for launching the war against Iraq.

If only we had adults like Ms. Rice in places of power today:

H/T to the folks at Family Security Matters.

Couric clearly still does not understand. I don't think that it is because she is incapable if understanding. I think it is because like so many libs she just doesn't want to.

Like Reagan said, "It isn't that liberals are ignorant. It's just that they know so much that isn't so."

I'd vote for a Rice-(whoever - even Biden) ticket in a heartbeat.

But Rice doesn't want the job. Which probably shows great sense on her part, a lack of ambition -- and an overall sensibility and fitness for the job that's usually lacking in those seeking it.

These interviews, 'lib media vs con interviewee', are so repetitive with, in this case again, Curic trying to snare her guest. Curic, however, just does not possess the smarts or intellect to even stay at the same level in this conversation with Condaleesa Rice. What's here is a demonstration of true grounding and understanding of topics that the host chose, but has a limited grasp of...the intention being to just set out hurdles in the hope that a gaff of any kind might result. The essence of this format is yet another indication of the long decent of the liberal media to the state that they have reached today. More harmful to public understanding than they are beneficial. Oh!...and Condy Rice gives here a great demonstration of genuine eloquence rather than the media's falsely projected eloquence of Barak Obama, a man who fails even at that, Harvard pedigree or no.

If Condi Rice were to aim for and win the White House in 2012 she would undoubtably be the first black US president, not because she is any more black than the incumbent, but that the lady actually has the qualities that a real president must have. This is one impressive woman.....and boy, does she have elegance to spare. Yep!...i'd go for, say, Rice/Gingrich any day if I were a voter.

Libs will never allow a black conservative to enter the White House. I can't think of any length they would not go to to stop such an event from transpiring.

jim m,

"Neither party will be running someone of her caliber because any such person wants absolutely nothing to do with the circus and the destructive politics of the campaign."

Agreed. And that's completely depressing, isn't it? So we end up with the unqualified fools who are willing to run and pretend that we're choosing "the best candidate."

You know, all party politics aside, it would actually be nice to have a solid president in place in 2013. I could care less what "side" they come from.

Couric is a mediocre broadcast journalist who has nowhere near that amount of influence. You're giving her way too much credit. Rice probably won't go anywhere near the WH because she doesn't want to run. If you listen to her interviews, that comes across quite clear.

She's a has-been that has been "Peter Principled" out of her genre ... she should have stuck to morning "chit-chats" with Matt Lauer.

How pathetic is it when Couric can't even comprehend the intellectual beat-down Condi just delivered to her.

Ideological blindness is surely not bound by simple political divisions. Just something to keep in mind.

Also, there is no clear "liberal mindset," anymore than there is a uniform "conservative mindset."

if katie couric ever had an original thought, it would die of loneliness. she is lip-loaded by her keepers. for the salary she collects to
be a mouthpiece for the democrap party, she'd
tell ya that the moon is made of greencheese or that s**t tastes like ice cream.

she's just one of many media whores. she puts on the kneepads, cashes the checks, does the democraps bidding and, at the end of the day, still doesn't know her ass from third base.

Mrs. Rice is one of my all time favorite people in the political world. As was mentioned earlier she has a certain quality. In my opinion she has several and it is hard to separate my favorite from her wisdom, her ability to think calmly and rationally and her obvious ability no call BS BS.

The American people would be well served by her and I would definitely vote for her if she ever chose to run.

If an adult like Ms Rice was in a position of power today maybe she could convince the obstructionist filibuster crew that ratification of the START treaty is a good and necessary thing, not just another partisan beach ball to keep batting around while loose nukes become increasingly at risk.
