Sarah Palin hatred hits new high

Or would that be a new low:

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin traveled to Haiti this weekend as a guest of the Rev. Franklin Graham and Samaritan's Purse to spotlight the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the earthquake and cholera-stricken Caribbean (half an) island nation. Instead she has found herself embroiled in a scandal, accused of bringing a hair stylist on the trip to make herself look good for the cameras and "photo-ops.".

The Associated Press transmitted a photo from Haiti of Palin captioned, "Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, center, has her hair done during a visit to a cholera treatment center set up by the NGO Samaritan's Purse in Cabaret, Haiti, Saturday Dec. 11, 2010. Palin arrived Saturday in Haiti as part of a brief humanitarian mission. Dieu Nalio Chery / AP"

That photo and caption set off rabid attacks on Palin from the Huffington Post, the U.K.'s Daily Mail and, of course, Palingates.

The photo does indeed show Sarah Palin standing with her husband Todd as a woman whose face is obscured uses two hands to fix the hair on the right side of Palin's head.

However, one can observe that the woman is white, with her brown hair pulled back in a ponytail, wearing a white shirt with a bulky scarf and dark pants.

In other photos from Saturday, Todd and Sarah Palin's white, brunette, eldest daughter Bristol, who accompanied her parents on the trip to Haiti, is wearing the exact same clothing and ponytail as the "hair stylist" in the AP photo.

That's right, what the Palin-hating AP and others fail to report is that the "hair stylist" is Bristol Palin.

I'd be willing to bet John Edwards has his hair done after he takes a crap and has his nail person with him at all times, but that's ok he's good little liberal nothing to report on there. John Kerry wore so much make up during his run for office he looked like an Umpa Lumpa no big deal. I mean honestly, they are going to end up getting so many people feeling sorry for Palin she'll get elected just to spite the media.

I ignore Palin for the most part. She's isn't worth the effort to support or to try to put down. She's just another sign of our times.

The AP caption is correct. So what if it's Bristol - the caption is still correct.

And Yes, it's obvious Palin is there for the photo op. She only allowed Fox News and her own documentary crew there. Can't have any journalists around... that's correct. Fox News staff are not journalists.

So what's the story here? You claim a handful of left wing blogs got the story wrong? Feel free to link to those lib places that got it wrong. You haven't shown a single one.

Yawn.

That's right, what the Palin-hating AP and others fail to report is that the "hair stylist" is Bristol Palin.

Who cares that's it's Bristol? AP doesn't say that Palin brought a stylist along, or anything of the sort. They state a fact, that she's getting her hair done.

That photo and caption set off rabid attacks on Palin from the Huffington Post, the U.K.'s Daily Mail and, of course, Palingates.

Here's the Daily Mail story. Show me "rabid"...

Ready for her close-up... Sarah Palin lands in Haiti (well, she wants to look just right for those poor cholera-stricken residents)

Clad in a simple grey T-shirt and cargo pants - but with her trademark hairstyle firmly in place - this is Sarah Palin touring a Haitian refugee camp.

The Tea Party darling's trip to the impoverished country, still reeling from a devastating earthquake in January and now facing a brutal cholera epidemic, is being tightly stage-managed.

Mrs Palin has provided access on her tour solely to Fox News and the religious organisation she is travelling with has asked all other Haitian and American journalists to leave the area because of a 'security lockdown'.

So long as she brings the cameras: Sarah Palin has her hair fixed during a visit to a cholera treatment center set up by the NGO Samaritan's Purse in Cabaret, Haiti, on Saturday.

Another day in paradise: Haitians go about their business in the camp as Mrs Palin takes it in.

Piece to camera: Mrs Palin is interviewed by Fox News Channel journalist Greta Van Susteren during her visit to the treatment centre. Only Fox News has been given access to Mrs Palin for her trip

But Haitians don't care, so long as she brings help.

No Haitians interviewed by foreign news organisations had ever heard of Mrs Palin. But when told she was an American politician, they welcome her with open arms.

'It would be good if she came, because we could tell her that we need medicine and jobs,' said Roseline Frederique, a 21-year-old resident of the capital's Cite Soleil slum who is being treated for cholera symptoms.

Mrs Palin was a guest in Port-au-Prince of Reverend Franklin Graham, whose aid group works in the impoverished country.

Clean-up time: The former Alaskan governor washes her hands on her visit to the treatment centre. Other American and Haitian journalists were ordering to leave the compound as part of a 'security lockdown'

Reverend Graham's organisation, Samaritan's Purse, refused to discuss Mrs Palin's itinerary with other media and asked Haitian and American reporters to leave its compounds, citing a 'security lockdown'.

'I've really enjoyed meeting this community. They are so full of joy,' Mrs Palin was quoted as saying on the organisation's website.

'We are so fortunate in America, and we are responsible for helping those less fortunate.'

Associated Press television journalists saw Mrs Palin talking with foreign aid workers.

It was her first trip outside the United States since speaking to investors in Hong Kong last year. That speech was also closed to the media.

Clearly Palin is there for a closely controlled press opportunity.

And the AP photo caption stated a fact, that Palin was having her hair fixed before she stepped in front of the cameras.

And here's the lie.

Nowhere in the AP captions or the Daily Mail story is Bristol referred to as a "hair stylist" and yet whoever wrote this pathetic whining article puts "hair stylist" in quotes.

Who are they quoting? Who said Palin DID have a hair stylist?

And that's the most pathetic thing about Sarah Palin - her incessant whining and playing "the victim". She uses that as an excuse to control her media coverage - she lies and plays the victim and then uses those lies as an excuse to keep journalists away from her.

Where is the same scrutiny with Obama, Hillary, Reporters, etc on such trips? I bet they have someone fix their hair and makeup before going on camera. Probably a professional too.

It doesn't imply anything, you twit. It states a fact, that she's having her hair done.

Nowhere were the words "hair stylist" used, and nowhere did AP or anyone else suggest that Sarha brought a hair stylist with her on the trip --- and Sarah Palin --- poor, prosecuted Sarah Palin --- cries like a baby because the media is jumping on her - when it's Sarah and her silly sycophants who are just bullshitting and playing Sarah as the poor, poor victim again.

It's time for Sarah to grow a pair -- maybe Hillary will loan her one.

Then by chance I started listening to his radio program and realized they were smearing him and the guys views were more like mine. As I now listen to Sarah, I realize she is the type of candidate that I want for president. So, keep at it media, keep telling me how bad she is. The more you do so, the better she looks!
