He is the guy that put the term "teabagger" in common parlance.That he knew the term is strong evidence of personal experience. The penalty for men having sex with other men under sharia is death. If they knew his sex practices he would not have got away so easyly.

Looks like a prior to photo and his 'equipment' is a Flip Camera.
I'm not seeing that 'Cloak of Journalistic Invulnerability' anywhere. From what I'm reading about hatred being directed at them he got away light, the mob put a Fox crew in the hospital.
If he has any common sense at all he'll bail and let stringers send stories from the street in.

Cooper claims to have been punched "about 10 times" as he calmly walked out of the crowd. Nothing on video, not a mark on him. Egyptians don't win many Olympic boxing medals, though, maybe they can't punch.
Western reporters who went to Egypt to help overthrow the government shouldn't be surprised that government isn't very happy with them.
