Bruce Kesler brings us the humongous answer by way of the following video:
And clearly things aren't about to get any better given Obama's new budget:
In a mere nine years, entitlements will account for 64 percent of all federal spending. And Obama just punted on his promise to cut Medicare payments to doctors, as pledged under Obamacare as a core part of the case that health insurance reform would cut the deficit. ... We can chalk that up as a cynical diversion (even though Obama pledges to find savings elsewhere in the Medicare budget to make up for this lie - a promise we now have no reason to trust or believe). ...
This president is too weak, too cautious, too beholden to politics over policy to lead. In this budget, in his refusal to do anything concrete to tackle the looming entitlement debt, in his failure to address the generational injustice, in his blithe indifference to the increasing danger of default, he has betrayed those of us who took him to be a serious president prepared to put the good of the country before his short term political interests. Like his State of the Union, this budget is good short term politics but such a massive pile of fiscal bullshit it makes it perfectly clear that Obama is kicking this vital issue down the road.
To all those under 30 who worked so hard to get this man elected, know this: he just screwed you over. He thinks you're fools.
That from none other than Obama poodle and psychophant Andrew Sullivan proving that Obama's mission as a uniter, not a divider, is beginning to pay dividends.
In the mean-time, you and I are paying through the nose for this guy's leadership... or lack thereof.

This debt has been going on longer before Obama, however he is throwing gasoline on a runaway fire.
Social programs remind me of a story about a cobra whose fangs were grew so long it ended up biting and killing himself.
Hospitals now can not survive without Medicare, however the waste I see in hospitals is unbelievable. The higher ups treat themsleves like members of a 500 Fortune company. Many people live solely on social security (it was not meant for that). Plus they give out social security for things that it was never suppose to cover.
And then there are the parasites who never worked and want everything handed to them. I see them daily and they have cell phones, tatoos, tons of jewelery, clothing. How do we stop this???????

All Barry's promises come with a too soon expiration date. Thankfully, so does his term.

I have been working in healthcare (hospitals) for 25+ years. There is waste but not at the level you think. Many regulations and governing standards keep adding onto the expense of running a hospital. Every room in a hospital has to have a waterless hand cleaner. A nurse, housekeeper and maintenance man must wear latex gloves in a patient room. The physical plant issues are very expensive. The disposable clinical accessoring prevent infection. All of this is based on defensive medicine. If someone gets and infection from an operation, the hospital would not be the responsible party necessarily.
As far as Medicare and Medicaid, they have so many hoops to jump through that it takes full time coders to make sure a claim is filed correctly.
Obamacare will just increase that burden on hospitals. So, we have an illegal population that taxes the hospital system to a point of carrying huge debt year to year but Obama doesn't care. You have Obama not cutting any entitlement to lower the deficit. I can go on and on, but Bill O'Reilly pegged him good when Bill said to Obama "You don't seem to have an urgency about you whe it comes to the deficit". ww

This president has never "lead" anything in his life. His current "budget" is another vote for "Present!".

I think Jennifer Rubin has the best take on this.
"The Obama team is composed of people who think government spending creates prosperity, who have no fear that tax hikes will choke off economic growth, and who believe the electorate won't notice or care that Obama has rejected the 2010 midterm message."

In fact, under new health care reform your health insurance company will no longer be allowed to cancel your policy if you get sick, we should be doing this already! search online "Wise Health Insurance" it is a good place to find insurance if you have illness like me.

The deficit has balloon and balloon big in the last four years. Obama not only wants to keep it at this high level but increase it. He wants to cut off a little sliver mostly out of the military and higher taxes then add a good chunk of spending in other areas. All the while claiming his plan cuts the deficit. What amazing is how many people fall for it.

This is why Limited Federal Government is needed. The legitimate expenses such as defense gets a cut. SS and Medicare continue down path to ruin, sucking the wealth out of the country. Then we have Obamacare which will add huge cost to an already burden system. We must increase education spending which does no educate one child.
Imagine the wealth creation with no SS, MC, EPA, Ed Dept , etc. All the unfunded mandates not passed unto the states?
