2 U.S. Airmen killed at Frankfurt airport (UPDATED)

2 more injured.

My guess is that the shooter was a deranged Catholic or perhaps a disturbed Jew and certainly not a peaceful Muslim:

FrankfurtShooting.jpgA gunman opened fire Wednesday on U.S. servicemembers aboard a bus at the main airport in Frankfurt, Germany, an airport spokesman said.

Two U.S. airmen were killed and two airmen were injured, one seriously, Maj. Beverly Mock, a spokeswoman for U.S. Air Forces in Europe, said.

"What we know is that a man opened fire on a bus with U.S. soldiers which was standing in front of Terminal 2 on Frankfurt airport," said Manfred Fuellhard, spokesman from Frankfurt police.

The wounded were brought to a Frankfurt hospital, but Fuellhard would not identify which hospital.

CNN was reporting that the troops killed and injured are U.S. Air Force airmen from Royal Air Force Lakenheath base in the United Kingdom, emphasizing that the information was preliminary.

Fuellhard said the shooter is believed to be a young man from Kosovo, who had opened fire from inside the bus. He is in custody of airport security forces, Fuellhard said.

Isn't Kosovo a haven for deranged Catholics and disturbed Jews?

UPDATE: An unusual report from ABC News:

A gunman shouting "Allah Akbar" opened fire on a bus carrying U.S. airmen in Frankfurt, Germany, killing two and wounding two others before his gun jammed and he was subdued, officials said.

I think before we jump to any conclusions here, it's important to note that "Allah Akbar" can sound alot like "Our Father" in the heat of the moment... or even "Adonai Eloheinu" as bullets are whizzing by... anyone assuming that this is a Jihadist attack is obviously bigoted and Islamophobic...  intolerant and close-minded... and likely a xenophobe to boot.

And you appear to have missed my point, Brett: the people saved from genocide were Muslims, and one of those saved may have just murdered two airmen, and yet saving them from genocide was the right thing to do, no matter what those people would later go on to do in life, and it's good that all decent people agree with that.

Anyone else not clear on the meaning of Serb/Kosovar/Albanian/Christian/Muslim can avail themselves of this information on the internet.

Technically, this is correct. In reality NATO forces apart from the US are virtually impotent. Most cannot transport themselves outside of their own nation without our assistance. They cannot project any real power outside their own borders with the exception of the UK. I'm at a loss to think of any NATO action where the US was not a major part. I don't think that NATO could sustain any operation (Even one as close as Yugoslavia) without our help.

Hyper you have no creditbility asking anyone if they are evil or stupid.

You are not even in this Country for one. So mind your own business. More People have been killed through abortion/murder then were murdered /killed during the Holocaust.

Cutting the funding, just like Walker Wisconsin Ranger is cutting the pork, is essential.

So the comparison is only weak to a weak mind.

hyperbolist:

Not according to the law, 913.5. In fact, according to the law, no person has ever been killed by a legal abortion, except for when the woman dies as a result of complications from the procedure. So zero would be a great deal less than, what, 9 million, right?

And it is my business. The anti-choice movement in your country seeps across the border and energizes the radical minority here that share your views. Ditto for creationists and climate science deniers. Also, are you implying that I can't take interest in the reproductive rights of American women? Fuck you.

SCSI, it is a totally weak comparison. Abortion isn't murder. It's legal. Using it eugenically is a separate issue.

I was not equating abortion to genocicde. You will notice that I didnt comment one way or the other on the statement you commented on. I mean 34 million unborn babies killed vs 6 million people during the holocaust. noone can see a similarity there.

I was commenting on your calling someone stupid and or evil and merely stating the obvious. You have no business calling anyone either considering your past statements.

epador:

When the Germans started terminating the mentally feeble and physically impaired, that was also termed a medical procedure and under the guidance of physicians. SO that was OK too, right hyper? And then they extended their application of eugenics to more medical procedures, like involuntary sterilization. So that wasn't genocide either, was it? It sure was legal, under German law at the time.

So tell me again how you know that abortion, a medical procedure, and the termination of life in fetuses, unborn children, isn't murder because US law says it isn't?

As for laws.

Hey slavery was legal 150 years ago. Are you going to say that is a good thing. Killing jews in Germany was legal 70 years ago. Are you going to say that is a good thing. Apartheid was legal a generation ago. Are you going to defend that?

Many babies can live outside their mother weeks before they are born.

What is the difference between a woman going in at the last minute before birth and saaying she wants a partial birth abortion and getting it and a doctor killing a baby just born. Yeah. about 2 minutes in time and one in legal in some states and the other isnt.

But wait I forgot. YOu stated in a previous argument that doctors should be allowed to kill new borns in certain circumstances. That is illegal but yet you are arguing for it.

Again Hyper You continue to prove my original argument.
