President Obama may have lost the Farrakhan vote with his Libyan policy:
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan blasted U.S. President Barack Obama for taking part in an international coalition against Libyan Muammar Qaddafi.
![]()
The coalition, consisting of France, the United Kingdom and the U.S., began bombing strategic targets in Libya on Saturday. France's air force is leading the air strikes.
The U.S. and UK have launched hundreds of missiles from naval ships.
Farrakhan, on a Chicago radio show, said he was outraged Obama took part in the attack.
"Why don't you organize a group of respected Americans and ask for a meeting with Qaddafi, you can't order him to step down and get out, who the hell do you think you are?"
He made the comments on WVON-AM.
I imagine Reverend Wright is none too happy as well which makes this actually a good thing for Obama as it's hard to find the negatives in pissing off the likes of these two moonbeams.
If you'd like to see Farrakhan's rant on video, check out Locutisprime's post at my place. It's... umm... righteous.

So, Obama cant tell a vicious thug and murderer to step down.
However, Farrakhan can call a sitting US president to task and ask him "who the hell do you think you are?"
Interesting.

Hmm, Obama ticking off a racist, cowardly, worthless thug? Even if it was unintentional, dare I say he's finally done something right?

I think The Won has (accidentally or through disinterest/cowardice) a fair number of things right in the foreign policy area. Club Gitmo is still open, we are still going in Afghanistan, and the Libya thing was at least a good start. When you have Dennis Kucinich calling for your impeachment, you must be doing something right.
Of course none of it is any sort of concerted plan, he just bumbles along and lets others take the responsibility but the results are what counts.

I don't get how Farrakhan and Michael Moore can live with watching thousands of Lybian citizens be killed by air strikes and do nothing about it. How can they live with their conscience seeing innocent people die when out gunned? I am just a naive idiot who has too much compassion for some people. Also, I suppose they would find it ok for OUR gov't to shoot us from the air should we protest and have NO ONE help us either.

Well... how many tickets did they buy to Bowling for Columbine? Or Fahrenheit 9-11?
How many of them donate to Farrakhan's 'church'?
How many of their deaths can be shown to be because of Bush? Or some other Republican? If they can be blamed on their opponents, then they're useful. If not - oh, well.
How useful can they be to the two? If they aren't useful - then... they don't care. Why should they?
'Care' is inversely proportional to utility for those clowns.

Whoops - should have been 'care is DIRECTLY proportional to utility'. Obviously, in the first case if there was no utility at all then they'd care a tremendous amount... but that's not what we're seeing, is it?

Farrakhan only rejects the obambi's white side.
Heard a good joke from a poster on Althouse today.
"When Clarence Thomas walks into a room with Farrakhan and Obama, then Obama and Farrakhan are the white guys........"
