Finds things to be less than what is being advertised... weird huh?
There may be less than meets the eye to President Barack Obama's statements Monday night that NATO is taking over from the U.S. in Libya and that U.S. action is limited to defending people under attack there by Moammar Gadhafi's forces.
In transferring command and control to NATO, the U.S. is turning the reins over to an organization dominated by the U.S., both militarily and politically. In essence, the U.S. runs the show that is taking over running the show.
And the rapid advance of rebels in recent days strongly suggests they are not merely benefiting from military aid in a defensive crouch, but rather using the multinational force in some fashion - coordinated or not - to advance an offensive.
Read it all. It's not an Obama friendly piece.

not bad, but still a bit tame - this calvin woodward that they've had doing these fact checks has done better, maybe that's why they saddled him with this lardner to dial it back a notch?

Is this Wizbang or Antiwar.com? The writers here sound more and more like Justin Raimondo every day. Not that it's a bad thing.

Nice job, you lying weasel. Thanks for shitting all over the troops in Iraq trying to conclude the mission.
I guess this means we visit Darfur, or Sudan or ANYWHERE?
I get the feeling that this is going to bite the Chief Prevaricator in the ass in the near future.

Actually by giving control over to NATO it gives everyone ability to withhold support while at the same time saying that they participate through NATO.
This allows obama to claim more nations being involved that really are and to blame the incompetence of his own leadership on someone else.

Still waiting for Barry to answer those questions. I'm sure his response would be "nuanced".

I'm surprised with Barry. He is usually very good at keeping a straight face when he lies.

AP only allows articles critical of Obama when he does something that angers his/their far left base. Most of them are roiling with disgust at the ongoing mission in Iraq, that we are still in Afghanistan, that Gitmo is still open, and now that we are bombing Libya.
Like a pressure cooker, they need to let off a little steam now and then. They don't want the left to explode with anger and provoke a reaction from the swing voters. With a little salve on their wounds like this AP article, they will go back to biding their time, willing to wait for a second Obama term for him to finish the work of destroying American capitalism and our place in the world.
