Yesterday we touched on the "control freak instincts" piece.
Today, an update:
In a pants-on-fire moment, the White House press office today denied anyone there had issued threats to remove Carla Marinucci and possibly other Hearst reporters from the press pool covering the President in the Bay Area.
Chronicle editor Ward Bushee called the press office on its fib:
Sadly, we expected the White House to respond in this manner based on our experiences yesterday. It is not a truthful response. It follows a day of off-the-record exchanges with key people in the White House communications office who told us they would remove our reporter, then threatened retaliation to Chronicle and Hearst reporters if we reported on the ban, and then recanted to say our reporter might not be removed after all.
The Chronicle's report is accurate.
If the White House has indeed decided not to ban our reporter, we would like an on-the-record notice that she will remain the San Francisco print pool reporter.
I was on some of those calls and can confirm Ward's statement.
Messy ball now firmly in White House court.
I'm beginning to think a Hillary run in 2012 against Obama is looking more and more likely.

ah, but the SF Chronicle suffers from "BMS" (Battered Media Syndrome)
Every time Obama does something like this, they wind up "forgiving" him. He's their man...and it was probably their fault...they, uh, slipped on the stairs or something.

Barry's 'freedom of the press' requires drinking from his pitcher of cool aid and total adherence to following his script. No deviation allowed.
Now quit interrupting his golf schedule with such silliness.

The Chronicle has carried water for Barry since Day One. I've no sympathy for them. They've obviously not learned to do as they're told and just suck it up!
For a 'media savvy' group, Team Barry's wheels appear to be falling off the cart. The MSM doesn't mind shilling for Barry - they just don't want to be reminded that they're whores.

Whose to say the plan isnt for Obama to step aside for "health reasons". He can then spend the rest of his life golfing and playing world statesman.
If Hillary isnt at the top of the ticket in 2012 she will definitely be replacing Biden. Obama is going to need all the help he can get.

Again, the real irony here is that in Nov. 2012 the reporters and editors of the S.F. Chronicle will vote to reelect Obama literally by a 100-0 margin. You can't really fix stupid.

Believe it. If the economy is in the tank in 2012 - there will be a Democratic call for a primary. The DNC is as loyal as Barry is. If they sense he's a loser - they'll be more than happy to entertain a primary. Just ask Carter.

Here's the critical part of Carney's weasel-worded statement, "However, no reporters have been banned..."
"...no reporters have been banned," i.e. we banned her but it blew-up in our faces so we've rescinded it, therefore no reporters are banned as of right now. Notice he never just came out and said it never happened in the first place.

If obama steps down it will have to be willingly or else the dems will lose in 2012 in a 45 state landslide. The minority vote will stay home if Obama is beaten in primaries.
