"Mr. Bailey has an axe to grind and abandoned truth in his book"

We're beginning to find out more as to Frank Bailey's "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin" and surprise, there are serious questions as to the veracity of much contained therein:

sarah-palin.jpgIn their first comments about the book since several media outlets obtained a leaked manuscript in February, two sources close to Palin disputed several of the anecdotes in the book, including his claims of illegal coordination with the Republican Governors Association and that he has seen Palin's deposition in the so-called "Troopergate" case, which is sealed. Palin's camp also insists that some of the Palin emails printed in the manuscript are framed to distort events -- for example, the emails Bailey includes to show the former Alaska governor's reaction to her oldest daughter's pregnancy are about rumors that circulated before Bristol actually became pregnant.

Palin aides also pointed to previous ethics charges against Bailey during his service to the ex-governor's administration, as well as an ongoing investigation by the state attorney general's office over the emails Bailey included in the book. Additionally, SarahPAC spokesman Tim Crawford highlighted Bailey's book cover, which is a modified image. The original photo was of Palin standing next to other governors at an RGA event, not next to Bailey.

"Frank Bailey was the only member of the Palin administration to be found to have acted unethically - twice," Crawford said. "He is currently under investigation again by the state attorney general. Then, as the administrator of certain email accounts, he acted unethically by appropriating account information he was entrusted to protect."

"Gov. Palin suspended Bailey and refused to hire Bailey when he sought a position on her vice presidential campaign staff and later with SarahPAC. Mr. Bailey has an axe to grind and abandoned truth in his book. The cover of the book tells this story, two completely different photos twisted and Photoshopped to create a fraudulent image. The book belongs on the fiction shelves."

Along with so much that is written about the woman by the media.

The Palin hatred is severe and is sure to increase should she throw her hat into the Presidential ring for 2012.  And that hat may very well be on the verge of being tossed if these reports are any indication:

Shortly after Republicans swept last November to a historic victory in which Sarah Palin was credited with playing a central role, the former Alaska governor pulled aside her close aide, Rebecca Mansour, to discuss a hush-hush assignment: Reach out to conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon with a request. Ask him if he would make a series of videos extolling Palin's governorship and laying to rest lingering questions about her controversial decision to resign from office with a year-and-a-half left in her first term. It was this abdication, Palin knew, that had made her damaged goods in the eyes of some Republicans who once were eager to get behind her potential 2012 presidential campaign.

The response was more positive than Palin could have hoped for. He'd make a feature-length movie, Bannon told Mansour, and he insisted upon taking complete control and financing it himself -- to the tune of $1 million.

The fruits of that initial conversation are now complete. The result is a two-hour-long, sweeping epic, a rough cut of which Bannon screened privately for Sarah and Todd Palin last Wednesday in Arizona, where Alaska's most famous couple has been rumored to have purchased a new home. When it premieres in Iowa next month, the film is poised to serve as a galvanizing prelude to Palin's prospective presidential campaign -- an unconventional reintroduction to the nation that she and her political team have spent months eagerly anticipating, even as Beltway Republicans have largely concluded that she won't run.

We'll learn soon enough.

For all the insistence that Palin's not a threat, not a serious candidate, is stupid, is uneducated, isn't to be thought of as a possible President -

It's remarkable the amount of effort spent on trying to smear her.

That's NOT how you treat someone who's insignificant, not a problem, not a threat...

Kathy Griffin? Insignificant. (And not conservative).

Katie Couric? Not important. (Just another news-reader.)

Michelle Bachman? Not seen as a political threat. No tell-alls on her yet. (Emphasis on the 'yet' - she climbs up a few mor notches, and they'll be looking to see when she had her first abortion, how many times she took on the entire high school football team and left them drained dry, how many traffic tickets she's got and the number of times she got caught shoplifting at WalMart and all that fictional crap...)

Chris Christie? A potential threat, so they're working on digging up dirt on him.

Find who the left is actively smearing, and you'll see who they consider a threat.

Sarah Palin is the most intriguing figure in American politics that I can remember. Is there any other individual in the political history of the United States who has been vetted in such detail for the presidency without having actually declared he/she is running for the presidency? Do you get the impression that there has never been a larger group of people who have decided how they would vote for someone for the presidency without that person having actually declared he/she is running for the presidency? Palin's candidacy would provide a stark contrast to that of Obama's candidacy, though. With Obama we elected someone who we knew vitually nothing about really. With Palin, what else is there to learn?

Bah.

DaveD - With Obama we elected someone who we knew vitually nothing about really. With Palin, what else is there to learn?

Excellent point. I guess the public only has a right to know if it's something - whether true or false - that MiniTru thinks that they ought to know.

The MSM went after Palin AND her young family viciously. She did not represent the liberal view of what a modern woman is. Now that the MSM lowered the bar to a point where most good qualified candidates will not come forward. They do not want their families subjected to the lies and half truths.

I also do not read or care to any "tell all" book someone wrote to another as they posed as a close friend and confidant. On either side of the aisle, it lacks honor and says much more about the author than the subject. ww

Palin has so many enemies on the left, rabid and unhinged, that have to be sitting back wondering just what does it take to get her to go away.

They've lied about her and what she's said.
They've mercilessly attacked her family, even her youngest children.
They've sneered at her background.
They've wished rape and violence against her.
They've stalked her.
They've done this all relentlessly.

And she still stands. Proudly.

Yes, I think Sarah Palin has the mettle to be president. I think she has the common sense, love of country and vision also.

I think the left is about to learn something.
I don't think they'll be able to handle it though.

Look, she won't even go on Meet the Press or Face the Nation. Can't take a tough question like "what newspapers do you read?" Every interview she gives is scripted and canned with a suck-up interviewer like Hannity. Like watching North Korean State TV interview Dear Leader.

The cheap self-promotion of her "reality" TV show and Bristol on Dancing with the Stars grates on modest Americans.

Not to mention the $262,000 that Bristol collected for being a negative example for the teen sexual abstinence group Candie's Foundation. Which may have paid for her facelift. http://blogs.forbes.com/elisadoucette/2011/04/06/bristol-palins-compensation-seven-times-candies-foundation-donations-to-charities/

Since when did you turn modest?

DWTS is about CELEBRITIES, or whoever they can drag in that's got even a modicum of name recognition and is willing to go through the crap. If they wanted Bristol, and she wanted to do that, and they wanted to pay her - that's her privilege. Why should I get bent out of shape about it?

As far as her being a bad example - you ever make a mistake and then tell someone else "Oh, shit - dude, do NOT get the tribal tattoo on your FACE! No matter how drunk you are or how cool it is! Laser removal hurts like a bitch and costs like a son of a bitch - I know!"

Who better to shill for abstinence than someone who's visibly fucked up? (So to speak - it's hard to know what positions were used.)

Time will tell - but like I said, for someone so 'obviously incompetent for the job' you folks on the left spend an inordinate amount of time telling us just how horrible she is. Why, it's almost like you think we'll believe what you say over the evidence we can gather ourselves.

(One complaint I DO have about Palin - the woman's got a voice that'd grate Parmesan cheese. But it ain't the delivery method, it's the content. Obama got in place by being great at giving teleprompter - and he had nothing behind the facade. Palin grates - but she's got a hell of a lot more than Obama ever did.)

I have no problem with Bristol shilling for abstinence. What is unseemly is her collecting $262,500 in a year from a charity for doing so. Every buck she took was less money for the charity to do its charitable work.

Relax. If she decides she wants to run for the presidency she will have to put herself out there like you suggest. If she doesn't it will hurt her candidacy. Presently Sarah Palin is contributing commentator for FOX so I don't know what you are talking about. You people bring this on yourself as has been pointed out above. You people keep treating her like she's a declared candidate for president. I realize projecting your fears, hatred, condescension or whatever the basis of the attack of the day is, is a full time job, but take a frickin' break already.
