I´m not condoning Weiner, but now there might be flood of similar accusations...glass houses. It could be sexist; if a female representative sent photos of themselves, unsolicited in revealing lingerie, would we ask for their resignation, probably not?
As for being a "serial liar" well all representatives, all (well nearly) all men lie about their sex lives, otherwise we would barely have one. The only politician I can recall who didn´t lie about his sex live because, he didn't have one, was Edward Heath... he was asexual.

Combs wasn't honest. He was a hypocrite. If Weiner were a Republican Combs would be screaming for his head. It is just another example of how the left will accommodate any level of corruption or perversion on their side but they will militate against the least bit in their opponents.
And when they complain about conservatives they don't say that the conservative should be out because the conservative believes in a set of moral rules and they violated them; they say the conservative should be out because there is a set of moral rules. When the rules serve their purpose the left likes them. When the rules do not serve their purposes the left ignores them. THAT is the essence of hypocrisy.

Thus, when they do a Sanford, it's finger pointing time from the left side of the isle. Democrats? Moral values? "What are those?" Thus, if you are an amoral, end-justifies-means, Proglodyte Democrat, you've never even heard of moral and ethical values, much less met one you liked. Listen to Colmes. As long as he votes the right way, and hasn't broken any laws (presumably Colmes would insist on a conviction - innocent until proven guilty, and all that), then he is suitable for Congress.
We're not talking about whether Weiner should be incarcerated. I'd like to think we could expect a little more from Congressmen than from accused criminals, and judge them by a slightly higher standard. We are, after all, relying on their judgment (God help us). Weiner has shown, even to the thickest liberal out there, that his judgment ... sucks.
And whatever happened to honor?
So, apart from lacking honesty, decency, judgment, and honor, Weiner is, per Colmes, perfectly qualified to serve as a Democrat in Congress until and unless he's convicted.
The Democrat Party disgusts me.
