We need to start shrinking the federal government right now and I suggest they start with Turbo Tax Cheater Timmy followed by every one of the JEF's czars and all of Moochelle's needless staff.

Yeah, that'll work. Turbo-Tax-Tim says it will be good for business. God knows he's the authority on what's good for business.

I want to all to know that writing three complete sentences on this topic without using any profanity was very difficult for me. There were several body parts I wanted to mention along with some old Anglo-Saxon.

If you read the linked article, I think you can safely come to the conclusion that Geithner does not know what he's talking about.

As for sustaining govt programs.....how about, oh, I dunno, cutting maybe one or two of the 82 federal programs to improve teacher quality; 80 to help disadvantaged people with transportation; 47 for job training and employment; or 56 to help people understand finances.

I was hoping someone in this administration had a clue and it continues to look like Biden is the one with the brains. Yee gods.

Perfect. Tax the people who create productive jobs so we can protect the jobs of government workers who produce nothing and are only parasites on the economy. What could go wrong?

I am sure there was a time and maybe not too long ago when the person uttering a statement such as this would have had his(her) sanity immediately questioned.

The last polite and to-the-point letter I wrote to our Treasury Secretary, expressed my displeasure of the policy that he and his minions were executing in regards to negative real interest rates, specifically the zero (30 year) fixed rate for Treasury Inflation Protected Securities (TIPS) or I-Bonds.

Essentially,the mind bending logic they are using is offering to borrow 10 pounds of potatoes from you today, for the return of 5 pounds of potatoes to you tomorrow - i.e. thirty years from now. After all, 5 pounds of potatoes 30 years hence, will cost the same as 10 pounds of potatoes today! What a deal, huh? Who in their right mind would sign up for such a bargain? Well silly me...

These (I-Bonds), are typically bought by Grandma and Grandpa as gifts in their Grandkid's name... and they're still buying them???? Wonder if the kids will ever figure out 30 years hence that they got rolled?

This, along with our Treasury's other actions since 1 May 2008 has me on strike for purchasing our Government's debt. Interestingly, the US Treasury's canned computer response letter said my correspondence was very important to them, and they thanked me for my concerns.

Made me ponder, if the resultant reply would have been the same if I had wished a cursed death upon him and his minions... But I did not test this supposition with a follow-up letter, as I might of receive a courtesy visit from the FBI.

Rick, I think our US Treasury officials are beginning to crack under stress. Perhaps cause they don't know what the hell else to do. I've never seen anything like it... except in Combat - where the smallest personality defect or character flaw gets amplified all out of proportion, and these individuals start behaving and doing the damnedest things even the dumbest mutt of a dog wouldn't do.

Given the financial trajectory of our country, and the character stature of those running our Treasury... this can only end badly. My 2cents FWIW.

Isn't it sad that they can now tell us exactly what they're thinking and planning and still get away with it? And the press still attacks anyone that dares call this socialism?

They just don't get it. The only the government need to do is get out of the way.

If they just did that one simple thing businesses would thrive and tax revenue would increase.

Ya know, if TICKS could talk then every single time you went to pluck one off your dog the tick would say:
“You can’t pull me off, because then I wouldn’t be able to suck your dog’s blood anymore…and I would shrink and maybe die!”

This sort of economic policy combined with the rule by decree Obama uses to get around the law closely resembles the government of Venezuela in the Chavez era.

If we don't get rid of these idiots, the results will inevitably be similar, too.
