Of course the media isn't reporting this, obviously because Obama didn't commit a major gaffe like confusing John Wayne's birthplace with the hometown of Wayne's parents. I mean, it's not like the man who has a memory like a steel trap ever forgets the names of Congressional Medal of Honor winners, or something equally embarrassing.

The reason the media picked up on it is not because of liberal bias. It is because it happened at the same time Bachman was making her official announcement to run for president. Any candidate that that makes a gaff while they are making their announcement speach will not be ignored by the media.

There is a HUGE media double standard in favor of liberals, and one merely has to open their eyes and ears to observe it.

Yes I do remember reading about "57 states" comment in the media. No it did not get as much coverage as the 57 states comment for 2 reasson:
1. As I said anytime a candidate makes a gaff during their announcement speach it will not be ignored by the media. Because it happened during a major speach more reporters picked up on it.
2. It's far more commical when someone makes a gaff that compares themself to a serial killer than getting the number of states or ones child age wrong. Because it was far more comical than Obama's gaffs people repeated it more often.

Except that she didn't say anything about John Wayne Gacy. That was appended to her statement by someone on the left side of the blogosphere just like the "I can see Russia..." comment by Tina Fey was to Sarah Palin. Neither woman said what was purported but when did that ever stop you or other morons on the left from being nonthinking parrots.
The (P)resident has made innumerable gaffes that are seldom if ever reported by the media that slavishly worships at his feet and he can't even keep up with his own child's age.
What can you expect from someone that spends most of his time demonizing things as per Alinsky and no time demonstrating real leadership other which way it is to the next tee.

His 57 states and his signing the wrong date in England are just a couple of signs of his innumeracy. His wild numbers thrown around with no basis in reality are usually passed off as deliberate lies for political purposes but he really has no concept of millions, billions, or trillions. His awkwardness with 1 and 2 digit numbers is the real reason his academic records are sealed. He tries to cover his ignorance by using relative terms like more, less and you are rich enough.

Obama knows he can get away with nonsense like claiming the corporate jet depreciation break, which amounts to some $ millions per year is so important in a debate over $ trillions per year that he needed to mention it SIX times simply because he knows anyone who would vote for him now is very stupid and has poor math skills.

We actually have a president who did nothing of significance in the US Senate (the 140 days he was there before beginning his campaign), who said he campaigned in all 57 states, who referred to the "Austrian" language, who doesn't know how to say Marine Corps (not "corpse"), who recently signed a guestbook with the year "2008", who said he presented the Medal of Honor earlier this year to a servicemen who was actually killed in 2006, and who doesn't even know the age of his oldest daughter?????
