The Derp State’s Corruption Of The LSM

I’ve been writing about what I began by calling the praetorians and now refer to as the Derp state and their perversion of the federal civil service.  They have effectively corrupted the institutions of the Departments of Justice and State, and a sizeable chunk of the Intelligence Community, especially where the IC intersects the Departments mentioned above.  I missed another institution which has likewise been corrupted by the same actors: The Press.

How Should We Read the American Press? In Arabic.

News of the News: Like in the Middle East, U.S. political operatives and intelligence officials are increasingly using the cloak of journalism as a tool for their aims

By Lee Smith, Tablet

In his last column for The Washington Post, Jamal Khashoggi explained how the lack of a free press has impoverished the Arabs.

“A state-run narrative dominates the public psyche,” he wrote, “and while many do not believe it, a large majority of the population falls victim to this false narrative. Sadly, this situation is unlikely to change.”

Khashoggi might have also been describing the current state of the U.S. media. Over the last several years, the press here has repeatedly joined with government officials, including intelligence officers, to wage operations influencing the American public to obtain political goals, just like Middle East media.

The named comPost columnist is the Saudi whose death the Press here has been belaboring at the behest of the Derp state, which remains entangled with the Iranian/Turkish axis in their efforts to disrupt the U. S. / KSA alliance.

Read the whole thing.  I think this poses just as much risk to our Republic as the corruption of our federal civil service.
