Must Read Analysis of The Latest Polls

Alexander McClure, Jim Addison and Ed Torres have excellent analysis of the status of the various campaigns in light of the latest poll results. Be sure to read the posts linked here, as well as other campaign news at Wizbang Politics.

Update: At Wizbang Politics, Jim Addison linked Orson Scott Card's essay on why Democrats should vote Republican. I am posting the excerpt Jim posted for those who didn't follow my advice to read all the posts at Wizbang Politics.

I say this as a Democrat, for whom the Republican domination of government threatens many values that I hold to be important to America's role as a light among nations.

But there are no values that matter to me that will not be gravely endangered if we lose this war. And since the Democratic Party seems hellbent on losing it -- and in the most damaging possible way -- I have no choice but to advocate that my party be kept from getting its hands on the reins of national power, until it proves itself once again to be capable of recognizing our core national interests instead of its own temporary partisan advantages.

To all intents and purposes, when the Democratic Party jettisoned Joseph Lieberman over the issue of his support of this war, they kicked me out as well. The party of Harry Truman and Daniel Patrick Moynihan -- the party I joined back in the 1970s -- is dead. Of suicide.

Now go read the rest of the posts at Wizbang Politics.

Update II: In addition to the excellent Senate race analysis at Wizbang and Wizbang Politics, ya gotta read Bull Dog Pundit's Senate calls. It is worth reading for the "Tally" commentary alone. I think BDP has the same opinion of Lindsey Graham that I do.

Orson Scott Card does political writing now? Go figure.

If you want bizarre, go read The Folk of the Fringe by Card. That book still has me shake my head every time I think of it.

Your desperation (the entire right's) has reached new heights I'm afraid. You really ususally do much better than this.

My god folks, everyone vote republican because a science fiction writer who happens to be a democrat says so!!! After all you know, it's science fiction writers, err I mean fiction writers, who write for Bush.

Lorie Lorie Lorie don't you really want to take this one back?

Everyone, don't pay any attention to the snide, putzy comments by Hugh and drlava.

Orson Scott Card's piece is fairly long and EXCELLENT. Spend a few minutes and read the whole thing.

By the way Hugh, I suppose you'll be asserting we should we all vote for Jim Webb since he writes books with colorful episodes about a father putting his son's penis in his mouth. Right?

Hugh, "our" desperation?</p... (Below threshold)

Hugh, "our" desperation?

It's not our side who has been trying to get felons the right to vote. Who fights mandatory ID at the polls so it's easier to cheat. Who needs the help of the MSM,. dead people and illegal aliens in order to even hope for a win.

The desperation comes from the Left. Always has. Always will.
