Two Hours of "24"

If you are a regular "24" watcher, be sure to note tonight's back-to-back episodes which begin an hour early at 8 p.m. EST. If last week's episode is any indication, tonight should be action packed.

Update: Get to know Joel Surnow, the man behind "24," in this New Yorker piece. Hat tip to Susan in NC.

this season is really getting on my nerves, its appropriate to have an idiot troll to be the first to post in the thread due to shark jumping of the show.

Will somebody friggin' ban nogo for trolling? This one was REALLY blatant.

I usually wait to catch "24" on DVD as I inevitably miss an ep here and there and get lost. On DVD, watch it all at once. Spectacular show.

Lots of bad guys. McCalister is dead. His girlfriend is dead. Jack and the TAC team turned an apartment into a bad guy shooting gallery and killed everyone except, of course, Fayed, who escaped Matrix style through the walls to the basement.

Chloe is the big time heroine in this one. Earlier, they took her offline because she was messed up about Jack's brother's death.

Besides being off-topic as usual you stupid putz, I sincerely doubt you care a wit about any soldier that has died anywhere in the world nogo.

Stick to the topic at hand or get the hell out.

Let's see ... VP making a power-play on the President, and another kid about to be kidnapped as a hostage ... What show does this remind me of ... oh yeah ... it's 24 ... what a coincidence! :(

I've been reading the new 24 paperbacks that Marc Cerasini and John Whitman wrote, and sadly, they are better than this season. In fact, they are a lot better.

I think what the writers were better at in the first couple seasons was a couple of things:

1) The continuity aspect of the show
2) Keeping the viewer in suspense.

The whole sense of continuity in this season just doesn't seem to be there ... It seems less like a continuous 24 hours, and more like a traditional action show. They just can't seem to build any apprehension or suspense like they used to.

Maybe I'm just de-sensitized to it all ...

BTW -> Jack's sister-in-law, ex-girlfriend is hot.

I still can't figure out where Ricky Schroeder is going to fit in to all of this. Is he going to be the IA bad-guy, or is he going to replace Curtis?

Lorie Byrd:

Kim, don't know if you missed the part where Gramps threatened Josh's life. I know that is the reason she didn't tell Jack, but she really should have known better. I guess I will cut her some slack though. To learn your father in law killed your husband, his son, and then to hear him threaten your child, would be enough to give anyone pause.

how do they tie to Grodenko and the power cabal

To comment on an earlier point, if one wants to see the events of Baghdad today, recreated on American streets tomorrow, vote for the silly

My brother's in the Sunni triangle, so this isn't
theoretical for me. While you're at it,, cut off the NSA, disrupt bank financial surveilance, close Gitmo and Bagram while you're at it. It doesn't surprise me that Surnow is a "to hell with them conservative" that viewpoint
could be seen on his earlier series; the Equalizer
and La Femme Nikita. In both, the Company and Section 5; the French precursor to CTU, hide bound
bureaucracies, are unable to deal with more fluid
organizations, while mavericks like McCall and
Nikita work much better.
