Some Weird Stuff

If you haven't seen the new "Organizing for Healthcare" logo from Barack Obama's website, here it is:

This is bizarre. It is spooky. It is actually kind of frightening.

Narcissist that he is, his official campaign logo affixed prominently in the middle, on top of a map of the country. No American flag to be seen.

Some AMA-like symbol, with white, faceless beings standing behind the Obama logo, like lost souls, as if he's is protecting them.

I'm going to catch flak for this, but, it reminds me of some Nazi propaganda poster from World War II.

Who the hell thinks this crap up?

Yes it's unfortunate. The caduceus resemble the eagle and they placed the Obama symbol right where the nazi cross would be.

Ironic, but not surprising given how amazingly tone deaf this administration is.

What's really creepy is not the logo but the idea that they need to raise a propaganda army to force this crap socialized medicine down our throats.

Obamalala has made a big mistake making this about him. His re-election depends on getting this "reform" rammed through despite the horrific consequences to the country. To him and his minions nothing else matters. Being tossed out after four years will be as much if not more of a rebuke than it was to Carter. And Obamalala knows it.

The 'organizing' is being done outside of the white house. It appears they are using Obama campaign organization grassroots mechanism. There's no "american flag' because its not a whie house/government effort.

Let me guess - you hide under your desk if a black man enters your place of business?

Surely you don't wet your pants if a man in a turban walks by?

"Frightened" conservatives are the nation's bedwetters. Luckily there is a network, Fox News, that caters to bed wetters so that there is a sense of community and belonging. That and this blog, obviously.

To carry it further, the "AMA-like symbol" is the Caduceus which comes from mythology and is the symbol on the staff carried by Hermes - the "Messenger of the Gods." The proper medical/healer symbol would be a single snake wrapped around the staff.

So, Team Obama has metaphorically portrayed themselves Hermes, the messengers of the Gods, delivering God's will for the people in our land.

"(T)he organizing is being done outside the white house" Oh, that clears it up! Of course The One has nothing to do with this at all, its just some bipartisan grassroots organization taking it upon themselves to educate us fly-over country bumpkins. Thanks for clearing things up, Larry.

Its always gotta be about race with you moonbats, huh? Forget about the consequences of this bill, forget about the costs, forget about having to get some government bureaucrats permission to have surgery or a procedure, forget about taking the decision about treatment away from doctors and giving it to the government- We dont like the plan because The One is a black guy. Keep drinking the kool-aid, man.

Yeah, this is almost as bad as the Democratic National Committee's claim that Republicans are inciting angry mobs of a small number of rabid right wing extremists funded by K Street Lobbyists to disrupt thoughtful discussions about the future of health care in America. Republicans, extremists, and lobbyists, oh my!!

Just kidding. This is not nearly as bad as the DNC's paranoia over American citizens who are actually exercising their right to speak.

They've established the rules of engagement. Dissent is patriotic, as they've made so perfectly clear in the past. I think the days of one acceptable standard of behavior for liberals and another for conservatives are just about over.

Hey Obvious One,
Let me remind you again of the situation. There is a Democrat in the White House. There is too good to believe majorities of Democrats in both houses of Congress. Why would you even waste your time insulting us here because the country is yours for the taking. The Democrats would have to be idiots themselves to mess this up don't you think? Or maybe that's just a little too uncomfortable to discuss. It was supposed to be so much easier than this. Just sayin'.

From the White House blog: There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain e-mails or through casual conversation. Since we can't keep track of all of them here at the White House, we're asking for your help. If you get an e-mail or see something on the Web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to [email protected]

Hey Aresay, I've made a suggestion to them so that they don't have to rely on tips. Here's my email to [email protected]

Dear Great Leader:

Here's a suggestion so that You can tell 'them' from 'us' at town hall meetings.

Have 'our people' dress in a conspicuous uniform. "They" will then stand out when our elected commissars hold meetings in which to give Your instructions out to the commoners.

Uniform suggestion: Brown shirts, brown jodhpurs, black boots (hobnails optional). All topped off with a nifty visored cap. I'd also suggest a contrasting color for the shirt. Perhaps a bright red armband. On the armband we could have a large white circle, and in that circle a black captial "O". I think the style might catch on and we could quickly round up those opposed to the progressive movement, perhaps send them to a re-education camp. I personally don't know how successful that might be. I believe one of your friends, Bill Ayers, once estimated that approximately 25 million citizens would have "to be eliminated" because they could not be retrained. But I'm sure it will be worth the cost to advance Your ideas for the good of the country.
