Time to fit the man for a White Hood.

Harry Reid: Health care bill won't work for Nevada

WASHINGTON - No sooner than the Senate Finance Committee's chairman released his long-awaited health care bill today than Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said it's not good enough for Nevada.

Reid is concerned about the cash-poor state's inability to boost Medicaid spending as would be required under the bill.

"While this draft bill is a good starting point, it needs improvement before it will work for Nevada," Reid said in a statement. "During this time of economic crisis, our state cannot afford to shoulder the second highest increase in Medicaid funding."

Reid said he received assurance from the chairman, Sen. Max Baucus of Montana, that the formula would be changed before the bill goes to committee next week.

"I spoke to the Chair of the Finance Committee and he assured me that this bill will be improved for Nevada," Reid said.

"Let me be very clear, I will not bring a health insurance reform bill to the Senate floor that is not good for Nevada."

Racist everywhere in the Democrat party. It's terrible.

Done for now...

Sure sounds like a racist to me. Isn't that right, Jimmy?

Uh, Adrian, white and black liberals HAVE ALREADY DONE THAT. They scream "racism!!!" at everything that goes against what they want.

They've already set the standard for this administration, too: you oppose their plans, why, then you must be a racist because the president is black.

Pathetic, as was your comment.

That's it, VIC?

What's the matter? Can't stomach the talking points any more? Are you perhaps starting to see you've been scammed big-time, and the 'heros' you've worshipped for years aren't anything more than petty, corrupt thugs that kept telling you that YOU were special, that YOU were enlightened, that YOU were smarter than anyone else because YOU believed as they did?

How much did they rip ya off for, pal?

I'm actually sympathetic - I think you're starting to get it, no matter how much you DON'T want to. Reality simply just doesn't give a damn about 'reality-based' ideology, and that's what you've been deluding yourself for a long time.

Reality-based thinking lets you borrow all the money you want, without ever worrying about paying it back. Reality, unfortunately, means you'll be paying back a purchase for a long time when you borrow the money - and you don't DARE default on the loan.

Reality-based thinking demands everything you want RIGHTNOWDAMMIT! Reality forces you to accept that you CAN'T get everything you want. Some you can get now, some things you'll have to wait for, others you're going to have to drop because you simply can't afford them.

And calling others 'crazy', 'unhinged', 'racist', 'greedy', or whatever isn't going to change the fact that the money simply isn't there - and people are finally realizing that it won't be there unless it comes from THEM. Not corporations, not 'the rich', but it'll come from THEM either directly through taxes and 'user fees', or higher prices for damn near everything.

Welcome to Reality, VIC. Learn to live with it - you're stuck with it.

I have a sister that lives down in north central Nevada and she says Dingy Harry is pond scum. He was put into the Senate by the Big Gaming and union thugs that run Las Vegas and Clark County. Most of the people outside of Clark county voted no the last time he ran. Maybe this time, the people of Clark County will be the ones that vote him out. If that article in the Las Vegas Sun is any indication, he is now toast. *does the Snoopy supper happy dance*

For the trolls that are slow on the uptake (VIO, etc), Kevin's simply using the same method of debate that many on the Left are using. One side makes an argument for/against an issue, then the opposing side yells "RACIST". Apparently, that's what passes for discussion to the Left. Are you questioning this as a valid debate tactic ? If so, RACIST!

From now on I'm gonna use that "argument" with all my Liberal friends on every subject!

It is the perfect way for us all to drive home how stupid AND awful this crap is when THEY fling it at every opportunity!

Perhaps Harry needs to sit down with Barry and have a chat about those comments the President made about companies having conventions is Las Vegas. Either that or maybe Barry can schedule more political events there and make up for all the slow business. How about a couple gazillion 'stimulus' bucks for a high speed rail system from LA to Las Vegas to bring in all the suckers. Ooops! Kalifornian's ain't got no money to spend right now. Poor Harry, stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Agreed, someone has, but not Kevin for what is obviously a bit of satire.

It's teary eyed Pelosi (B-Botox) who's attempting to tread water in the deep end.

, "I think we all have to take responsibility for our actions and our words. We are a free country and this balance between freedom and safety is one that we have to carefully balance. ... I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw... I saw this myself in the late '70s in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and... I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made."

Of course Pelosi wouldn't accept for a hot second her and Hoyer's "un-American" editorial decribing tea party attendees as such would she?.

Wait... I thought Obama said that we should "argue with neighbors and get in their face" ? Is that not the level of discourse the President suggested ? Is Nancy really that clueless ?
