« The Best Line of the Night | Main | Barney Frank Sees Brown Win as Reason to Change Course on Health Care »

Senator Jim Webb speaks for me

Via Politico:

In many ways the campaign in Massachusetts became a referendum not only on health care reform but also on the openness and integrity of our government process. It is vital that we restore the respect of the American people in our system of government and in our leaders. To that end, I believe it would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated.

Can I get an amen?

Of course, the next time America has a collective brain fart and hands over power to Democrats, we'll have to kill [insert radical leftist's name here]Care all over again.

It would be better if it never got this close again.

After "our leaders", let things get so out of control that it will take generations perhaps to recoup the damage? Words are good, actions move monuntains!

Maggie Mama:

Sent my Congresswoman Lowey and my two Senators, Schumer and Gillibrand a very short note this evening:

"I am an Independent voter.

I do not want THIS Healthcare reform.

I do not want trillions in pork-filled USELESS stimulus packages.

I do not want my taxes raised - visible or hidden.

No, then listen to Senator Scott Brown. He speaks for me!"

So Rick, I give you an Amen. Amen. Amen.

Why, if I didn't know any better, I'd swear that was CMA statement by Mr. Webb.

Interesting that major newspapers havent't picked up Sen. Jim Webb's (D-VA) statement. As of now (11:15 pm eastern) the NY Times (not in pr1nt, blog only) and the Augusta Free Press, a small Virginia paper, has picked up the quote.

The Times is probably checking with its master in Washington to see if they can run it.

It's a extremely newsworthy statement, but it won't get traction in the liberal media. Too damaging.

If Barnyard quoted that? Man on Man he's inhaling in the wrong hole.

If so, then you are a fool.

Webb has merely taken notice of which way the wind is blowing and acted in furtherance of his political survival. Even a broken clock such as he is still right twice a day.

Webb has at least enough sense to know that killing the government health care take-over is the best thing that can happen to the democrats. And now they get to blame those nasty Republicans.

Yep, Webb is in CYA mode right now. He's smart enough to read message. Barry and Company, not so much. They'll continue to push. November is only 10 months away.

The hypocrisy of these people is truly astounding. Polls have shown nothing but the exact same thing that just came down in MA since last summer...but only NOW, now that they don't have the a filibuster-proof majority, only NOW are they all about working together and going slow and rethinking things, claiming it's because 'they see the light'. Baloney, the light's been shining since the first TEA parties, but with their smug super-majority they choose to ignore the people.

Now would be a good time for the dim majority to remove Pelosi and Reed and put some warm bodies with half a brain each in those two positions. Together they could make a whole brain.

It might save some dim bacon come November.

This is the same Webb who would gavel the Senate into session for 90 seconds in order to prevent President Bush from making recess appointments. His little "come to Jesus moment" is false and too late.

Sorry, Senator Webb. What you are speaks so loudly I can't hear what you are saying. Nice surrender words, but spoken from fear, not commitment. I hope you go the way of Coakley, but with a much wider margin of defeat. You are bad for America and should go home.
