I'll be passing on the Barry Soetoro show tonight. I have to clip my toenails or something else more important.

At least we wont have Blinky in the Box behind Obama tonight.

Tough enough to watch it without seeing Pelosi's face.

Upset Old Guy:

Ion shows Criminal Minds repeats tonight. I checked to see with episodes they are broadcasting and I have seen both the 9 and 10 o'clock showings a half dozen or more times.

I think I'll watch them again, see if they end differently this time.

I could be laying tile, or sitting back with some Reposada and Grand Marnier on ice playing a drinking game to SOTUS. I got new bottles at the liquor store on the way home just in case.

Jeff Blogworthy:

He promises 80% of us access to high speed rail. What a dumbass. Another dead-end boondoggle reminiscent of Lincoln's idiocy with the railroad. The only people it will benefit are the railroad and union workers. I hate this guy.

Personally, there wasn't any way in hell I was going to sit and watch the lying SOB spout BS adinfinitum when the expiration date on all of it is dawn the following day.

Half a century ago, when the Soviets beat us into space with the launch of a satellite called Sputnik¸ we had no idea how we’d beat them to the moon. The science wasn’t there yet. NASA didn’t even exist. But after investing in better research and education, we didn’t just surpass the Soviets; we unleashed a wave of innovation that created new industries and millions of new jobs.

...which is why I personally gutted NASA and redirected them from space exploration to touchy feely self esteem missions.

Paul Hooson:

Well, the halftime show wasn't as good this year. And, I didn't hear Washington address how they plan to cut the high cost of Viagra for a 55 year old guy like me with a 27 year old girlfriend. But, other than that the speech was fine.

The neighborhood tom spared me just after the high-speed train advocacy. The tom decided to accost a feline on my front porch, thus upsetting my dog, who made a fuss about all the cat activity on the porch. Snapped me out of the SOTU stupor for about 10 minutes anyway.

High speed rail? Again?

Oh, yeah, let's just ... not, okay? No way in hell it'll be usable, economical, or practical for either freight or passengers. That you want to spend money we don't have on a system that'll both never pay for itself and cost a hell of a lot of money we (I repeat) DO NOT HAVE show's just how serious ol' Bama is, which isn't very.

Ryan / Bachman wasn't interesting either. CNN had the teleprompter way off of the camera so she was looking away the entire speech. Yeah, they're really non partisan and all.

Well, another night, another failed chance to finish tiling the bathroom. The booze was good. Wife's home from the finance meeting. SOunds like the board wants to have a retreat before they face the music of budget cuts necessary to keep the center open. Funny, sounds a lot like something happening in DC right now.

Jim Addison:

I gave up watching these things back in the Reagan Administration. They are all a bunch of meaningless verbiage, even including when the President is pro-American.

If anything of interest or importance should accidentally be said, it will be reported on the intertubes immediately and can be read in seconds, saving hours of torturous boredom.
