Fake. From the start of the video, both guys have their arms underwater. They started out with the catfish caught. When that second guy is supposedly catching the catfish, he is obviously acting.

I fish the Tennessee river from Florence to Guntersville Alabama and I can assure you that you'll never see me do that. I'd rather stay in the boat and catch them.
