Choose Or Loose

Last spring, the 2004 Republican National Convention partnered with MTV to ask young Americans how President Bush’s call to service resonates in their lives. “Stand Up and Holla!” contestants submitted personal essays – and now ten finalists have the chance to share their personal stories with the nation. The winner will travel to New York City with delegates and party officials from across the nation to participate in the 2004 Republican National Convention. The winner will deliver a speech at the Republican National Convention in prime time.

Wizbang plans on interviewing the winner.

Having reviewed all the candidates, there is one entry I’m pulling for – Sheri Valera.

Why is Sheri Valera such an attractive interview candidate? It’s not what you think.

Sheri is determined to practice abstinence until her wedding day. While that’s mildly interesting, it’s hardly unique. What’s special about Sheri’s situation is what she’s abstaining from… HER FIRST KISS!

Now that’s a story worthy of a followup in New York.

Note, if you don’t get out the vote for Sheri she won’t win the trip to New York…
