James Carroll: Pacific Theater WWII Vets Aren’t Heros

Huh.

Well that’s going to surprise the hell out of a few WWII vets I know.

I guess our war against Japan didn’t have anything to do with the fact that they launched a freaking sneak attack on our largest Pacific Navy base while some of their diplomats were in Washington D.C. exchanging niceties with President Roosevelt.

Or the fact that the Japanese allied themselves with Nazi Germany.

Nope, America fought WWII in the Pacific theater because we’re a bunch of damn Jap-hating racists.

But don’t you dare question Mr. Carroll’s patriotism. He loves this country.
