The Media Violence Project

Who knew there was yet another nefarious threat to public safety? That, lurking behind the newspapers, magazines, and glitzy television news shows were violent perpetrators, just waiting to commit mayhem on an unsuspecting public? Murderers, rapists, child molesters, drunk drivers – nearly every sort of violent miscreant imaginable comes to your home daily, via the news.

This is no time to sit idly by while our nation is brutally abused and plundered – and the children, don’t forget the chiiiiildren! We must ACT, and now, not later. We must act decisively and forthrightly to end this vicious scourge on our society! Thankfully, one man is taking the lead in doing the two things we KNOW can solve any problem, however great – I give you, IowaHawk:

I have to say I was heartened by the response to my investigative piece on the national crisis in journalist violence. As you know, whenever a public crisis is identified, the first steps in a solution are (a) a non-profit foundation, and (b) posters!

Visit the link above to view the first batch of posters, which should definitely solve the problem! His previous investigation is detailed here. An excerpt:

Unrelated incidents, or mounting evidence of that America’s newsrooms have become a breeding ground for murderous, drunk, gun-wielding child molesters? Answers are elusive, but the ever-increasing toll of violent crimes committed by journalists has led some experts to warn that without programs for intensive mental health care, the nation faces a potential bloodbath at the hands of psychopathic media vets.

“These people could snap at any minute,” says James Treacher of the Treacher Institute for Journalist Studies. “We need to get them the help and medication they need before it’s too late.”

Statistics of Shame

Accounts of media psychopathy, while widespread, have until now been largely anecdotal. In order to provide a more focused and systematic study of the crisis, Iowahawk researchers set out to identify and tabulate criminal arrests and convictions of current and former journalists. While by no means comprehensive, this 10-minute project yielded a grim picture of a once-proud profession now in the grips of tragic, drunk, violent, child-raping rage.

Clearly, we are in a state of crisis. See, he even quoted an EXPERT with an official-sounding foundation – what more proof does it take? How many must die before we act? It will take many donations and some really cool posters to solve this social disaster!
