The San Francisco Creep Stands By Her Statements

It has been about a week since Speaker Nancy Pelosi made her caustic statements directed at the CIA and her accusations that the agency misled and lied about intelligence to her and other members of Congress.

Today was her first news conference since what many have deemed one of the most disastrous press conferences in modern history.

A total of one question was asked by a pool reporter concerning her statements of last week.

Her answer:

“I have made the statement that I’m going to make on this. I don’t have any more to say on this, I stand by my comments. And what we are doing is staying on our course and not being distracted from it.”

That’s it.

One would think that if she stands by her comments, she would be able then to answer questions coherently and decisively about the issue. Instead, she paraded just about every person imaginable before the cameras, eating up time reserved for her Q & A session, and when the questioning about her CIA statements began, she didn’t just side-step the issue, but pole- vaulted right over it.

Some members of the media in the room were heard to be proclaiming the ridiculousness of her refusal to answer anything pertaining to her prior statements concerning the CIA, however, some seemed more than willing to take the emphasis off that issue, and spin the news conference into something from which Pelosi could quickly remove herself.

Speaker Pelosi cannot hide from this political liability forever. Sometime in the near future, she will have to answer for her accusations.

She should resign her speakership immediately.
