End of a Love Story

After 40 years, Albert and Tipper Gore have separated.

Their romance, once rumored to have been the inspiration behind Erich Segal’s novel (and movie) Love Story, was ended through “a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration.”

According to friends, the Gores simply “grew apart” during the last few years.

There was no affair.

We will always be left to wonder how much of a factor Al Gore’s maniacal obsession with global warming, or his serious efforts to massively profit from “green” energy, were in the emotional distance that apparently developed between them.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Gore family.
